Last day!

Today I noticed that it was the last day of March. I was happy that it was a new month and that I would only have about 2 months until my birthday. My birthday is on the first of June on a Monday. I just wanted to tell you when my birthday is.

Tight schedule!

Today me and my pa had a tight schedule. We had to go to the post office to get pa a tax form. Then we came home to get my forms for Trillium and a book for Edwards too. After that we went to Trillium to drop off the forms. Then we went to Edwards after that to fill out a time card for pa. After that we came home for about 5 minutes to make a Fred Meyer list to go shopping for dad while we are away in California. Before going to Fred Meyer we went to Pet Smart for some dog food for the pug. Then we went to Fred Meyer for the food next week. Then we came home for some Top Ramon and grilled cheese for lunch. After that we relaxed till 2:30 which was a half hour before my student led conference. Then we went to the library to get some books for next week. Finally we came home for dinner at 6:00.

Student led practice!

Today at school we had to practice for student led conferences. We had to work on a portfolio we kept on a shelf. We had to have a writing sample, a math worksheet, a science piece, and a reading piece too.

Math portfolios!

Today in math we had to make a portfolio for student led conferences on Wednesday and Thursday. Then we had math class at 12:30 to 2:00.

Fire drill!

Today in yoga we had a fire drill. We had to leave the auditorium and go to the fence in the back. The alarm went off two times in a row. I was not happy at all.

My legs hurt!

Today when I woke up I noticed that my legs were hurting really bad. My dads just think it is a cramp with lack of exercise while being sick in bed. It still hurts so I have my dad give me a massage on them.

We won!

Today I found out that my class won the (Project Second Wind). We won the ice cream party with your generous donation of $80 which is 500 lbs. in my class. The entire school brought in 2,100lbs. in all!

Thank you everyone who helped contribute to Project Second Wind. I wanted to say that I am happy for your donation from yesterday. I want to say thank you Connie, Cori, Cari, Joni, Shari, and Howard for giving me $80 for my class. I do not know when they announce the winner but I do think it is on Monday next week. With your $80 + 30 lbs. equals 510lbs. because $80=480lbs. Wow that is a lot of pounds but it will help feed a bunch of people that have no food at all.

Project Second Wind (The Oregon Food Bank)

Today at school my teacher did not show up. Instead we had a substitute teacher and her name was Mrs. N for short. She had us do a spelling packet for word study. I finished it really fast and finished it before anybody else. It was about words ending with "able", "ible". There was a crossword puzzle in it.

After school my pa took me to the store to get some food for the Oregon Food Bank. He said he would pitch in $5 and so would dad but I had to pitch in $5 also. We got about 30 lbs. worth of food for $15. Our class goal is to raise the most money or pounds of food out of the whole school. If our class raises the most money, we get a ice cream party.

I was wondering if any of my fellow blog followers would be so kind and contribute to a good cause and help my class achieve this goal. Whether my class accomplishes this goal or not, I appreciate your generosity and I thank you and I mean it with my heart. Any amount would be gratefully appreciated. Since tomorrow is the deadline (Friday , March 6) and you would like to contribute, all you need to do is comment on my blog how much and my dads will spot me that amount.

Soft voice!

Today at school my teacher had a soft voice. It was so soft I could barely even hear him. His voice was like that all day long.

Wet socks!

Today before school started I got my socks all wet. I got wet because a sixth grader pushed me in. I was so mad I wanted to yell at him for pushing me into the water. He pushed me in because we were playing around. After that I called my pa and asked him if he could bring me some dry socks. He told me no he couldn't come because he was at work in NE Portland as a substitute teacher for 3-5 year old.

New job!

Today after school my pa drove to a school in NE Portland. He was going to be a sub for 3 months. The school was on Sacramento street.
